Set by a scene of local member-farmers delivering harvested grain to their cooperative, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds held a press conference Wednesday, October 18 to emphasize the importance of the Renewable Fuel Standard to Iowa’s farmers and economy. Hosted at Two Rivers Cooperative in Pella, the press conference included Governor Reynolds detailing the positive conversation she had with President Trump and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt about their commitment to the federal RFS program.
Other speakers and guests of the press conference included Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg; Monte Shaw, Executive Director of Iowa Renewable Fuels Association; Grant Kimberley, Executive Director of Iowa Biodiesel Board; and Dennis Bogaards, an area farmer, who spoke in support of the Renewable Fuel Standard.
Two Rivers Cooperative is proud to provide a platform where the importance of agriculture and our member-farmers can be voiced and protected.
Two Rivers Cooperative General Manager, Tracy Gathman, provides remarks in the news story link below from KCCI, along with a news coverage video.
